Personal Statement:
Growing up in Maine I have learned to appreciate the wonderful gifts this great
state has to offer. I have enjoyed hiking to the peak of Mt. Katahdin at over
5000 feet of elevation, skiing in Western Maine, camping in the Allagash
Wilderness Waterway, and fishing streams, rivers, ponds and lakes throughout
Maine.
I have been involved in construction with my father since I can remember. We
have developed driveways, roads, house/camp lots, and creative landscaping. I
enjoy all phases of a project, from a great vision, challenges throughout, and
most rewarding completion.
In 2000 I took a break from construction. I started transporting fish; and
buying and selling lobsters from local fisherman along the Maine coast. This
work allowed me to see many beautiful coves, ocean views, and abundant wildlife.
On April 1st 2007, I took my first plane ride. It was a beautiful Sunday
afternoon with little to no wind. The butterflies in my stomach from that
initial takeoff were a definite rush. However, it didn't take long to understand
why pilots are so passionate about their love for flight.
The idea of an airpark in Maine is awesome. The construction of house lots,
homes and detailed landscaping in our airpark developments will be a great
achievement. The quality of the end product should match the beauty of the Maine
Coast. I am looking forward to this dream becoming a reality.
